Data show that in the first quarter of this year, although the competition for talent search is still fierce, the pressure for talent search has eased compared with the same period last year.

Recently, Maimai Gaopin released the "2024 Spring Recruitment high-paying Career and Talent Insight" (hereinafter referred to as "Insight"). "Insight" shows that in the first quarter of 2024, the supply and demand ratio of talents in the new economy industry was 1.94. Among them, the supply and demand ratio of talents in the pure Internet industry has decreased significantly, and the fierce competition for talents in the new energy automobile industry has increased significantly.

In terms of income changes, in the first quarter of 2024, 32.4% of workers saw their income increase and 35.87% saw their income decrease. Among them, the position with the highest proportion of "income reduction" is marketing and sales, accounting for 47.01%, followed by transportation and logistics, accounting for 44.44%. The jobs with the highest proportion of "income increase" were middle and senior management, with 41.82% receiving varying degrees of income increase.

There are significant differences in working people's expectations of retirement age, and different measures have been taken to realize "retirement freedom". 32.89% of the workers hope to retire immediately, 38.27% of the workers think that they can only retire if they save 5 million yuan. In order to "retire early," workers ranked "starting a side business" as their first choice, with a score of 3.82 in the survey, followed by "earning a high salary" with a score of 3.39.

From the perspective of the average monthly salary of new posts in different industries, intelligent hardware salary has led for 2 consecutive years, and pure Internet has risen to the top 3. From the perspective of positions, generative AI researchers ranked first with an average monthly salary of 64,074 yuan for newly created positions, followed by digital front-end engineers with an average monthly salary of 62,579 yuan, and analog chip designers ranked third with 62,275 yuan.

In addition, the age distribution of workers in different industries also varies. In the ranking of the median age of employees in existing new economy industries, the electronics industry has the oldest employees at 34.2 years old, followed by new energy vehicles at 33.5 years old and the communications industry at 33.4 years old.
