Major Responsibilities

CRRC and MOTA Engil Colombia, as subcontractors of Medellin Metro, are responsible for the design, construction, testing and commissioning of the metro de la 80 project. As a global supplier of rail equipment, CRRC will supply the Metro de la 80 project with rolling stock, signalling systems, electrification systems, telecommunications systems, fire protection systems, automated ticketing systems and garage equipment.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Project Director manages the Medellin Metro de la 80 project and assumes responsibility for the project management of the railway system, ensuring that the delivery of the railway system is fully in line with the project schedule and cost, meeting quality and technical specifications.
The main job responsibilities of the project director involve the overall management, coordination, monitoring and risk control of the project.
Project planning and start-up: Responsible for the overall planning of Metro de la 80 electromechanical general contract project, including project target setting, scope definition, resource planning, etc. Clarify the roles and responsibilities of each member of the project team to ensure that the project starts smoothly.

Team management and coordination: Lead and manage the project team, including project managers, engineers, technicians, etc., to ensure team collaboration. Coordinate the communication and cooperation between the project team and other departments or external partners (including Medellin Metro and interventoria) to solve cross-departmental or cross-unit problems.
Schedule management and control: Develop the project schedule, monitor the implementation of the project, and ensure the project progress as planned. Identify risks and problems in the project schedule, and take timely countermeasures to prevent schedule delays.
Cost management: Responsible for the project cost budget, accounting and control, to ensure that the project cost within the budget range. Analyze project cost variance, propose cost control and optimization suggestions.
Quality management: Ensure that the project meets the quality standards and customer requirements, supervise the implementation of the project quality plan. Organize quality inspection and evaluation, deal with quality problems in time, and improve the overall quality of the project.
Safety management: Supervise the implementation of project safety management system to ensure the safety of the project site without accidents. Organize regular safety inspection and training to improve the safety awareness and skills of the project team.
Risk management: identify the potential risks of the project, develop risk response strategies and plans. Monitor the change of project risks, adjust the risk response measures in time, and reduce the impact of risks on the project.
Change management and coordination: Responsible for the approval, coordination and management of project changes to ensure that the changes are reasonable and effective. Communicate and negotiate with customers, designers, construction parties, etc., to solve the problems and challenges caused by changes.
Document management and reporting: Responsible for planning project document management to ensure the integrity and traceability of project information.
Contract management and collection: Responsible for the signing, performance and management of the project contract, to ensure that the contract content is accurately executed. Follow up the project collection progress, coordinate to solve the problems in the collection process, and ensure the timely return of project funds.
Project summary and experience sharing: Organize a project summary meeting after the end of the project to summarize the project process, results and experience. Share project management experience and lessons, improve team project management level and ability.
As the core manager of the project, the project director needs to have project management knowledge and rich practical experience, and can lead the team to cope with various challenges and changes to ensure the successful implementation of the project.
